Elevation in Breckenridge CO

My husband and I spent a long weekend skiing in Breckenridge, and we were referred to Elevation by a friend with lots of experience in the amenities of the area. We had no trouble completing our reservation online, and even got a courtesy call from them on the day we got into town to remind us that our equipment was ready and waiting whenever we were. Phil greeted us when we arrived and I was impressed by his easygoing, yet knowledgeable personality... I haven't skied in 12 years, but he put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable with all of the equipment before I left with it. My skis were perfect for my skill level and looked brand new; the boots were comfortable and sturdy, and both were well adjusted before taking them out on the mountain. We also met Jenny, the owner, and were assured that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. We had a great weekend skiing and spending time in the Breck area, and we'll definitely rent from Elevation the next time we're in town.

They were great! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the prices were good. I rented skis, and they made sure I got a good fit with my boots and my husband got a full tune for his snowboard.

Best place to rent from. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. I would recommend this place to everyone.

First bike store on Main Street .. Everything was good but I used the bike for an hour and a half and ended up paying $24 ( half day price ) coz they did not offer hourly rental prices ! This is my fault as I should have shopped other places .. I don't have anything negative about this place except the price ..the guy who attended us was nice .

Elevation was one of the better ski rental shops that I've been to in the past 8-10 ski trips out west. The prices for their performance package were some of the best in Breck after calling around, especially after applying the Yelp certificate. The guys working there were all friendly and very helpful, especially with their offer to deliver our equipment to our house as well as come back to exchange a pair of boots. I highly recommend them!

Amazing service! Jenny and staff were awesome with 5 adults and 4 kids. Equipment is really nice. The fitting was super easy. They meet us 2X to swap out equipment. Once on the mountain and once on Christmas Eve. I would highly recommend to any and every one coming to Breckenridge!

Great customer service and great people. I went in with my 3 kids as part of a bigger group that all rented here, and they did a fantastic job fitting us properly and getting us out into the snow. The guy fitting my 4 year old son called him little dude, which made his day, and later recognized us on the slopes and made a point to say "hi." (I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he was great) After we started for the slopes, Jenny called to let me know my daughter had left her goggles behind in the shop, (we brought these in, and didn't buy them there)She held them behind the register until we could get back. Jenny even went above and beyond by helping us when a member of our party hurt himself and couldn't ski on days two and three. Equipment was in good shape, and price was good too. I will be back next time in Breck! Thanks guys

The owner responded with a very thorough, thoughtful response and assured me that the problem has been solved. I will give them another shot because it's obvious the owner cares about her customers.

Customer Service at it's best! This is a small shop on Main Street that is owned by Jenny (a local) Sometimes in larger "corporate-style" places, you feel like you are being herded in... you will never feel like that here - in fact, I felt like we were friends. We had skiers/boarders of all different levels and we we all skiing a different # of days - no problem. They charged us for the # of days we skied, (not rented). That saved me so much time going back and forth! Additionally, when I had a small problem, they came to me ! Seriously, they met me at the slopes and fixed my boot! THis is customer service at its best. We rented ski's/board/helmet. They had sunglasses, socks, goggles for sale. We also rented 1 pair of ski pants. Not sure if they rent gloves or have a large selection of pants. Loved the fact that they were local and gave me great tips (stay out of the grocery store from 4-6pm and places to visit that were not so pricey). Will be back!

My friends and I recently rented our ski gear from Elevation. The staff was excellent. They were helpful and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Elevation and when I go back to Breckenridge, I know where I'll be renting my gear from!!

3/7/13: Updating from 1 star to 3 stars. I spoke to Jenny the owner. She seemed genuinely concerned and shocked. She apologized and apparently Mark no longer works there. She also refunded our full rental amount. She did what she could to make it right. Given that I changed from 1 star to 3. I would give them a chance, but ensure you are treated excellent and if not, walk away and tell Jenny. I am not sure why she did not know about Mark sooner, but I hope she will put in some in-store feedback mechanisms both from employees and customers to hopefully catch these things sooner. Thank you Jenny for making this right! Here is the issue I had that cause me to originally write a 1-star review. I called ahead and was told to reserve online - person on the phone was helpful. I did that and reserved 3 snowboard rentals (wife and two kids) and one ski rental (me). My wife and kids went in first as I was picking up our rental keys across the street. When I walked in, there was someone rudely talking to my wife and laughing at her because she could not buckle the boot. He was basically condescending and aggressive, while not caring at the same time - this was MARK - same person noted in the other negative review. He told her "just buckle the stupid buckle, don't you know that!" When a boot did not fit, he would yank it away and then literally throw other ones at my wife and kids. I introduced myself and said hi, he said nothing. Then I looked at the boots - they were ski boots! I asked him for the snowboards and if these were snowboard boots. He said "NO, those are ski boots, it would have been nice if you had told me that before, thanks a lot!" I asked him - did you look at the reservation sheet you printed out? What does it say - SNOW BOARDING. He looks and realizes it and keeps going on about how someone should have told him how to do his job. I told him my wife and kids had never been skiing or snow boarding. They walked in, gave their last name, and were told to sit down (rudely), Mark then brought out the wrong stuff and proceeded to then yell at them because they did not know he was wrong. We were getting ready to walk out with a nice employee came in and started to take over, all while Mark continued to be rude, throw stuff around, not answer any questions we had about how the bindings work, locations to ski - nothing. This was a horrible start to our vacation and the WORST SERVICE I have ever received ANYWHERE for ANYTHING. There are a ton of other rental shops with actually nicer equipment and cheaper prices - up and down main street. Choose any of those and you will love Breckenridge!
