Breckenridge summer Lodging

People often equate Breckenridge with skiing or snowboarding. While that is certainly true, Breckenridge is becoming more and more popular during the summer months as well. Ideal weather for a wide variety of activities can often be found in the summer. Our guests come back every year to enjoy hiking & biking, golfing on our Jack Nicklaus designed 27-hole course, fly fishing, rafting and many more outdoor activities. More and more people are also coming up to explore Breckenridge’s rich mining heritage. From a guided historical tour or visiting one of our many museums, to a haunted tour of Breckenridge, the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance offers a unique peek into our past.

Art – Visit the Breckenridge Arts District and experience theatre, a historical house and cabin, a ceramic studio, the Fuqua Livery Stable and a tin shop.

Boating – Water Taxi – Frisco Bay Marina is a full service, Certified Clean Marina located on the shores of Dillon Reservoir. Enjoy the surrounding views with an excursion on the Lake Dillon Water Taxi; the first water taxi in the history of Lake Dillon and the highest water taxi in the country!

Breckenridge Peak 8 Fun Park – The name says it all! This Summer Fun Park has something for everybody young and old. Ride the Gold Runner Coaster and the Alpine Superslide for an exhilarating race down the mountain. Many more activities are available to suit all adventure levels.

Golf – Hit the links of Breckenridge’s original Jack Nicklaus designed, 27-hole course; split into three ‘nines’ for a variety of elevation changes and challenges.

Historic Hikes & Walking Tours – Take yourself back in time and on a walk when you pair a good hike/walk with historical tales.

Mountain Climbing – There’s no shortage of peaks to climb in and around Breckenridge! Pick up a map or ask the locals for the best climbs to fit your fitness level.

Rafting – Any visitor to Colorado should try rafting at least once! Great local rafting guides take you on a ‘bob’ down the Arkansas or Upper Colorado Rivers depending on how much whitewater excitement you’re craving.

Shopping – Quaint and unique shops line the main street of Breckenridge. Spend as much time as you want in each shop while you’re pooch enjoys a cool drink from one of the many water bowls provided by shop owners.
