Swiss Haven Breckenridge

Will 100% go back again next time I visit Breckenridge. For us, it was the perfect heavy meal before bed on our last day of skiiing. We have two different cheese fondues and a chocolate. All great.

Think about the most over priced restaurant you have ever eaten in. Now multiply by 2. You have now arrived at The Swiss Haven in Breckenridge. I am curious if they had a "special" Christmas week menu when we were there, certainly they cannot stay in business with these prices 12 months of the year. The food was a B minus. Service was a B. But we spent $300 for 4 adults and 4 kids. And 1/2 of us were still hungry. [not counting a $60 tab for 4 beers d-stairs before dinner] Las Vegas prices - $12 for a beer, $10 for a San Pellegrino.

Insanely overpriced. Not authentic. Food quality was an F. Overall, not a stellar experience. $10 for a small plate of boiled potatoes. $49 for a pot of boiling broth with half of an 8oz "filet". $42 for 8 pre-cooked shrimp with broth. We were served stale bread to dip. We paid $350 to cook our own frozen foods. Luckily, despite their recommendation to order 1 fondue per person, we only ordered 2. Can't imagine how pissed off we would have been if we spent another $100 on Costco meat. For this price you should go to Hearthstone or Le Petite Paris, both of which were significantly cheaper and FAR superior. Service was inattentive and unprofessional. This place is a joke. Don't waste your money.

Since owner retired, gone down hill. We have come regularly and special occasion for Christmas, last 8 years. But never again. The nephew that runs the place is not as customer service friendly. We ran out of items and couldn't get waiters attention after multiple attempts, but cheese was burnt, which burnt cheese is good , but we could have eaten more. Find other places, many in town.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit w a Swiss farm board of meats & cheeses to start...& the peak 6 fondue. The service was exceptional w Taylor. The original owner was covering for his nephews night off. He was very warm & conversational. Great selection of beers to complement the great food

So good!!! We went up to Breck for our anniversary weekend and this was the restaurant we chose for our anniversary dinner. We ordered the garlic chicken, veggies, some shredded potato thing, cooked shrimp, Peak 8 cheese fondue, and white chocolate/dark chocolate dessert fondue with baileys added. The garlic chicken was AMAZING. Next time I will order more chicken and stay away from the shrimp because I was not really a fan. Veggies were fresh and a good choice to lighten up some of the bites. The potato thing was OK, but not necessary in my opinion. The Peak 8 fondue was GREAT! For the price, I thought the amount of cheese you got was a little smaller than I would have expected, but it was so good I didn't care. The dessert chocolate we got was great!! Again, a little small for the price but SO good. The amount of sides they gave you (strawberries, etc.) was good. Overall, I LOVE this restaruant. I just wish it was a little cheaper. I have been to many fondue restaurants and this was by far the priciest. If it were cheaper, I would be going more often, but unfortunately I will have to save this place for special occasions :)

Awesome service and staff!! The food was pretty good..the French onion soup was amazing..cheese was delicious...the veggies and bread was cheap quality, small portion and expensive...7 bucks for a chopped apple...over all good but over priced.
