This is my second trip to Breckenridge and my second time at Kenosha. They are located right on Main Street and are conveniently located. They have good seating both on the main level and downstairs. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. They have a nice deck that looks like it would be a great seating in the spring and summer months. Both times, someone in my party had a steak and that seems to be their specialty. The salads are good. This time I had the Yellow Fin tuna but it was not as good as I have had in other places.
So here is my deal with Kenosha. The food is excellent and is probably 4/5 stars. Locals recommend the place along with Hearthstone if you want a good steak. The quality of the meat was superb, and the preparation was good. This is a $$$-$$$$ restaurant though. You expect a certain level of service when you go to something like that. We arrived at 5:30 (EST 7:30) for dinner, and the restaurant was only about 1/4 full. The hostess initially was going to seat us in the center of the room, but we asked if we could have a booth or table along the wall instead as there were dozens available. You would have thought we made her job the hardest thing in the world with the look she gave us. However, she obliged us. It took over 10 minutes for a waitress to come and see us. In this restaurant, you refill your own water glass with a pitcher on the table. Ours was low by this point. She took our orders and disappeared with our pitcher saying she would bring it back and provide lemons as well. We never saw her again...or any waitress/waiter for that matter. We had to steal the pitcher from an unused table to continue with refills. The only other people we saw all night until the check were the people who brought out the food. The check was brought by a different waitress that we had never seen before. Just so we didn't have to deal with anyone else, we paid cash and a meager $5 tip (on a greater than $100 check) and hightailed it out of there. Until they get their act together with servers, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are too many good places in town to have to settle for this one.
We tried to do call ahead seating and they told us the wait was 20 minutes. When we arrived, we had to wait over an hour. Everyone thought the burgers were great but the green chili mac n cheese was so salty it was inedible. Also took 20 minutes to get a margarita. Left a lot to be desired.
I had dinner here around 6pm. This restaurant got full right after I was seated. So if you come with a group of 5-6 people, come a little but earlier. The atmosphere is good, everyone was very attentive, and bar seemed good too. Our waitress did a great job, she was very energetic. I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have good reviews. Their chili is very tasty, we also ordered a pulled pork sandwich and some ribs. I read bad comments about the ribs, and I get it, they were a little bit on the dry side, but they were not too bad. I'm not a big fun if ribs and I found them tasty! It's park street like most of the restaurants in this area, so that was the only issue I had. I would come back and try other dishes. Don't let the bad comments stop you from coming.
Very nice atmosphere. If you're here during the summer, they have the best outdoor deck in Breckenridge: faces the mountains. Beautiful. One family member had a burger. Very nice. All half pound burgers. Very tasty. Wife had a salad. Looked very fresh. She enjoyed it very much. Grilled chicken sandwich was also very tasty. Service was good. Atmosphere was very cozy.
Super surprised that this place only had 3 stars. My boyfriend and I were staying in Breckenridge this week and stumbled in here on Wednesday night and had a fantastic time. Nate, the bartender was knowledge and kind - he had us try 3 new beers that we had never had. The food was really delicious - salad, steak, potatoes - and reasonably priced. The ambiance was warm and inviting - they're open late. Everything was top notch. I could see being a regular there if I lived in Breck.
Great spot for a good steak with the guys! The food was great and the service was excellent. We were here two nights in a row, once for dinner/ drinks the second night was for the SuperBowl in the bar, what a great time!!!
A good bar atmosphere, like most of the restaurants there. Our server was really nice and attentive. It was loud in there, and not really what I expected for a place labeling itself as a "steakhouse". Not a large selection of cuts, so I decided to try their steakloaf instead. A little too salty for my liking. I got the brussel sprouts as a side, which weren't great. There is a huge beer selection, which is cool, but also just contributes to its bar atmosphere, which again, isn't what I expect from a "steakhouse".
Very disappointed. Our server was excellent but my son and I had the full rack of ribs each but they were dry and the meat was tough. We left most of it after trying to chew our way through. Seemed like they had been cooked out of the freezer!! We complained to our server who handled it well and he said the manager said to deduct one portion. Manager never bothered to come over to see us and apparently other rib complaints that night. Left feeling hungry and disappointed. Manager, woe on you and you should have done better. Will not go there again. I should have looked at Yelp first as only 3 stars and a ton of food complaints, !
