This place is as good as you can get on this mountain! If you're looking for the highest quality food, this is the best place to go. Came here w my mom from Chicago and we ran into locals telling us the same. It was such a good experience that my brother and I came back for a cocktail the next night. Pete and Adam were our bartenders and are the best bartenders you will come across, and it's a big statement coming from 15 years in the industry.
I went specifically for the Red Trout I saw on Yelp, and the fact that locals touted this place. I was not disappointed with the trout. I asked them to skip the shrimp hash and sub snow peas. The dish, as on the menu, is gluten-free. The atmosphere was nice. I wish the bar had been bigger; it has 6 seats. The waist staff was nice and attentive, and my meal can quickly.
The seafood is superb, even if this restaurant is located next to the ocean instead of at 10000 feet. The red trout dish was just phenomenal. They made a special broth for our mussels, because the broth on the menu was spicy. The market fish option was mahi. It was made with a Thai flavored broth.
I dine here often. One of my favorite restaurants especially for their bread pudding. The fish is always fresh and has good flavor pairings with their side dishes.
Food, decor, service, beer... all of it really comes together at this place. Highly recommend the grilled red trout. It's a bone-out fillet that packs a ton of flavor and comes with a shrimp hash (yeah, you heard that right - a shrimp hash) that is to die for and a side of sauteed spinach. Pair that with their on-tap amber, and you've really got something special going. Our server was also really nice and knowledgeable. Another point that impressed me was that the bar and the servers seemingly worked on a string. I was able to order and sample a few beers at the bar, order food (and another drink at the table), and they all came in correctly on my individual check (the group went dutch)! I didn't even have to tell the bartender who I was or where I was sitting, he just magically knew and it arrived on my tab. Amazing. I would absolutely come back here again the next time I'm in town!
Good quality fish well prepared. Good, accommodating service. Wish they would expand White Wine selections to complement the fish dishes.
SRSG has moved to Main street and is now in La Cima Mall. The new premises have a more sophisticated look, with dark walls, lots of mirrors, white banquettes and large white lamp shades. The restaurant overlooks Main St and has great views, I am sure they will make great use of the deck once the weather allows. The food is still great, obviously the seafood is of a high standard, I had grilled salmon with a lemon parsley aioli and my husband had seared Ahi tuna with wasabi noodles. Both were expertly cooked, very flavorful and beautifully presented. There are non seafood options and a children's menu for non fish eaters. Service was friendly and prompt. We were a party of 10 and it was difficult to hear the far end of the table, so probably better suited to parties of 6 and below if you want to socialize with the whole group.
Still a huge fan of this place. The back deck is peaceful. The food is exceptional. I had a special with ahi perfectly seared over udon noodles with a cream wasabi sauce and cucumbers. The flavored blended beautifully. Start with the smoked trout dip - you won't be disappointed. We opted to have with the pita chips. They are hard chips, not the softer bread like you get elsewhere. A must when in Breckenridge if you're a seafood lover
If you're going out and you're ready to spend some $$ on a nice meal, this is your place in Breck. South Ridge Seafood Grill was pretty darn good for a restaurant in a ski town. I ordered the chicken, and it was delish. My fiance ordered the ahi tuna, and she said it was great. I also ordered the New England Clam Chowder as an appetizer, but was disappointed. The soup didn't have any real flavor or "pizzazzz, " ya know? It was pretty boring. I helped combo the taste with some bread, that helped. If I went back again, I'd switch over to a salad and order the Hearts of Romain.
