Good selection of outdoors clothing, although a bit pricey, in line with other merchants in this touristy town. I did find a hiker's cap on sale though, so all was good.
Great staff, nice selection. I'm not sure why anyone would expect a local discount. They aren't marking up the items from retail prices for visitors. A local was shopping side by side with me, and we both received great service.
Had a great experience here. Came in to talk about touring ski boots and Sam spent a lot of time chatting and educating me, even though I wasn't going to buy anything that day. He even brought out touring skis and gave me a tutorial on tech bindings. Top notch service without trying to sell me on something I didn't need... I'll be coming back here whenever I need equipment.
Consistently unfriendly, condescending and overall unpleasant staff doesn't make up for their top notch gear/apparel and great space. Don't even ask about a local discount unless you want to be laughed at.
I am a telly newbie and so I counted on this store to help me rent the right equipment. They truly took their time and fitted my equipment and made sure my boots were fitting correctly. This store is amazing. Seems they have everything for the total mountaineer. Gear, clothing, accessories...it's a outdoor enthusiasts playground. Though it seemed pretty busy, they were still attentive and caring. They have everything for both winter and summer sports and I plan on coming back to Breckenridge and renting a bike from them this summer. I understand that the store is under new ownership, so some of the previous bad experiences may just be the old store. I thought they were great. Cindy was incredible!
Great service if you are pleasant to deal with. Can be a little testy if your an ass hole from boulder as my brother found out. Amazing photos of local daredevils on wall..good selection if u want the best
Bought a pair of snow shoes for my wife for Christmas at full retail, no locals discount offered at this place. The Atlas Snow Shoes were a lot more expensive than on line, but I like to support local business. The sales associate was mildly rude to me, and seemed annoyed that I brought kids into the store. The reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 5 was because this store did not have a box or a bag to give me with my purchase. The sales associate told me that she would have to charge me 10 cents for a bag and acted as if that was a problem. I declined to pay an additional 10 cents because it was not offered at the time of purchase, but only after the purchase as if I was the bad guy for asking for a bag. Like most service in Breckenridge, the attitude is effected by the altitude.
Lot's of really kewl gear and not just all sporting equipment either, lot's of kewl sports wear too. Peeps were very friendly and vey low key non-pressure. Wife says her new fav place
