Keystone VS Breckenridge
Breckenridge vs. Keystone
Planning a 4 night/3 day ski trip in late January with an inexperienced 8 year old. We took her to Winterplace WV last winter for a quick weekend to see how she would do and to our amazement and delight, she loved it!
Now we are wanting to return to CO after a 10 year absence. For about a 5 year period, we skiied Keystone/Breck/Copper way back then (also Snowmass/Aspen once). Are more familiar with Keystone slopes as we usually ended up staying closer to there with day-trips to Breck. We liked the quaint town of Breckenridge, but don't remember as much about the skiing, although remember having fun! (Hubby & I are generally moderate blue runners, but no moguls.)
Question now is which would be a better option these days for ski school and kid friendly slopes? It is hard to tell just looking at the trail maps. I was leaning toward Keystone (I loved Schoolmarm when I was learning to ski) but someone mentioned that Breckenridge might be a better suited for kids and have more lodging with ski in/out options which is appealing for taking breaks during the day.
