When traveling to Breckenridge, rest assured that a rental car or personal chauffer is not required – whether by foot or via public transportation, here’s a look at how to get around the mountain town. Whether you’re traveling from the airport to the lodge, or the ski hill to the pizza joint, Breckenridge visitors have plenty of options to get from point a to point b.

From DIA to Town

Getting here is half the battle, they say. But don’t fret – companies like Colorado Mountain Express, Peak 1 Express, Summit Express and Fresh Tracks will take you from the airport to your final destination for a reasonable fare. WiFi is often available on board, to ensure you can catch up on all your emails before turning on the vacation responder.

Bus System

After you arrive, travel around Breckenridge is a piece of cake and FREE! The town is only a mile long, so it is easily navigated on foot. If your dogs are barking, the Breckenridge Free Ride Transit System offers bus transportation within the town limits. The Free Ride offers a “ Where’s My Ride” GPS system so you know when the next bus will reach you.

The Summit Stage is an additional bus system that offers free transit to ski areas outside of Breck such as Copper and Keystone, to surrounding towns, medical centers and areas where you may be staying. Taxis/Hotel Shuttles

If you’ve had a late night out or missed the bus, taxis are always on call. Additionally, most hotels in the area offer shuttle services to and from town. Check with your concierge when booking to see what options they offer.

Gondola

The Breckenridge gondola also offers free transportation to the mountain’s Peak 8 from town. Whether you’re headed up to ski, going for a sunny après ski on the deck of the T-Bar or taking your bike up for a ride, the Gondola gives visitors a leg up.
